A really great day!

Saturday truly was a great day! Waking up to 7 inches of snow is always a good way to start a day! I actually made breakfast! This is usually something Gary Don does, because I am usually still in bed! I love my sleep! I made biscuits from scratch, well I did use Bisquick, but they didn't come out of a can so that is from scratch in my book. I also made chocolate gravy. The kids LOVED it. Austin asked if I could make breakfast more often. I told him if we could eat it at 10 am everyday he was on!
After breakfast we began bundling and loading up to head to Mimi and Papa's. My parents live on the golf course and have the best place for sledding.

This is what the suburban looked like when we went out to warm up the car to leave. We made it to Mimi's without any problems. The roads were not to bad. As soon as we arrived the kids were ready to SLED!

This is where the fun takes place!

This is Paige after she did a face plant off the front of the sled! She did not last very long after this. She was too cold!

Austin and collin tried their hand at using the sleds as snowboards. They got pretty good at it, after several wipe outs! More pictures to come! I think we are going to head back out today!

Lucy

Lucy is our black lab. She is truly one of the family! She is 5 years old, we bought her from a man in the wal-mart parking lot when she was a puppy. She has been the best pet for our family. As far as labs go she is not normal! She does not like water and loud noises scare her! Lucy has always been calm, and has never chewed things up like most labs do. We have bred her and she has large litters and is a very good mother dog. All of this to say Lucy gave us a surprise! The other times we have bred her we have planned it and picked out the perfect boyfriend for the job!
This fall we decided to skip this cycle and not have puppies, but I guess Lucy had other ideas. We had a yellow lab roaming the neighborhood while Lucy was in heat. We thought we had been successful in keeping them apart, but I guess we were not! Last Thursday Lucy had 12 puppies! The kids were very excited, I on the other hand am a little less so. 12 Puppies mean a lot of mess! So if you know anyone who needs a great puppy we will have some ready in a few weeks. They are full blood lab but no papers.

Our Cheerleader

Paige has started her cheer leading career by cheering for our churches upward program. She is loving it! I really struggled at first when she wanted to cheer instead of try basketball, but
I am slowly getting over it! She cheers really loud and loves being out in front of the crowd. They are working hard on a dance to perform in a few weeks at halftime. Thanks Katie for all your hard work with the girls! Maybe next year I can get her to try basketball!

Great Job!

Great Job Baby, I am proud of you to have your own little blog!

Work in Progress!

O.k. one post down.....I want my blog to be cute like all the ones I read. I am trying to figure this out, maybe I will have a cute blog soon. If not on my own I will be calling in the troops for HELP!

Here We Go!

Well I have finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon! I have wanted to do this for about a year but just never have taken the time. I was reading on a friends blog a few weeks ago that she has started blogging because she knew that she would never scrapbook, well that got me because I am not crafty at all, and have no desire to scrapbook!

So here we go! I am going to try to update regularly with all of the happenings of the curry house.
