No Plans

I am a little in awe of the fact that we actually have a weekend with no plans! It is rare for us to have a weekend with no ballgames, no cheer, and no where to be! It really feels a little strange! I have no idea how this is going to work. We are so used to have a weekend full of places to be, I hope we can enjoy the slow pace! I'll let you know how it goes after the weekend.

Teenager in the House!

It is official there is a teenager in the Curry house! 13 years ago today we became a family of three! I remember the day well! It snowed the night before, we had to stop at Wal-mart on the way to the hospital to get film for our digital camera. No, we did not have digital way back then! Rhonda Post was our delivery nurse! My sister was in the delivery room with Gary Don and I. Labor was quick and at around 1:45 in the afternoon we had a 6 pound 15 ounce, 21 inches long baby boy with no name! Our baby boy did not have a name for about 24 hours! We finally agreed on Austin Parker Curry! Children are a miracle from GOD! We have been blessed to have Austin in our lives! He is an amazing young man!
Gary Don and I took Austin to Fuji Japanese Steakhouse for birthday dinner on Thursday night. The food was really good, and the atmosphere really fun!

Alex was our grill chef, he was really good! He and Austin played "food basketball" several times. He would throw rice, and chicken in the air for Austin to catch in his mouth.

This was a volcano made out of onions, that he lit on fire.

Today Austin started the day with orange biscuits for breakfast, and enchiladas for dinner. He is a teenage boy....all about the food!

Austin- thank you for being you! It is a blessing for me to be called your mom! Keep seeking God and he will direct your path! Love, Mom

Basketball Pep Rally

Wednesday was Austin's last basketball game, and they had a pep rally at school! It was a lot of fun! The pictures are awful, but here they are. The one above was when they were calling out the players names.

Austin had double duty because he plays in the band also. He plays the trombone. You cannot see him in this picture, but he is in the back corner. They played several songs, will try to post a video too!
Here is a picture of the cheerleaders....all of the cheerleaders! There are 41 of them! They do not have try-outs for 7th grade so anyone who wants to cheer can! They are really pretty good. I don't know how their coach keeps control with that many girls!
Both boys teams won their games!

Hope you enjoyed some "Old Time Rock and Roll" 7th grade band style! They also dressed several of the boys basketball players as cheerleaders and they did a little dance. I thought they did a good job!

Basketball is over, and now we move on to track for Austin, baseball, and t-ball for Collin and Paige! Does it ever slow down? I dont think so but I love it!

Winter Break 2010

Of course I loaded all of these pictures backwards!! I am still trying to figure out this whole thing! We have had a busy, but fun winter break at the Curry house. I guess I will start at the end and work my way to the beginning! Monday morning we woke up to a few inches of snow! It pretty much snowed all day, but was not sticking to the roads because the temps stayed above freezing. The kids had fun playing out in the yard with our new neighbors. I'll post more about them another time.

We also spent some time Monday morning at this place! The patient would not let me take a picture, but I am sure to get plenty as he will be sporting his braces for around two years!Maybe I can sneak one this week before his birthday.

Sunday brought the annual middle school ministry flag football game. Paige, Lucy, and I went for a little while but it was to cold for me!

Austin had a great time, and his team won the game!

Saturday was filled with normal Saturday stuff! Austin had a game and they won, and Paige cheered her heart out at upward!
Friday we went bowling with the gang! We had 16 kids and 5 adults, we were a little out numbered! We bowled 2 games and fun was had by all! Have you ever seen someone bowl while holding a 2 year old? I have! Angel you are awesome!

I wsas really glad that the kids got to go back to school today! We have not missed any snow days yet and I hope it stays that way! I really don't want to go to school in June!

Quote of the weekend

Saturday morning while Hubby and I were cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast all three kids started a pillow fight in the living room. It had been going on for a while and then we hear this from Paige- " If you hit me really hard I WILL fall down and I WILL cry!"

Wish I would of gotten a picture of the fight, but I was laughing at Paige!
