Family Fun

Well family fun for most of the family, Austin was at the movies with friends. I guess that is probably the new norm.....Austin hanging with friends instead of the family on the weekends. Collin had been asking to go fishing all day, so we headed out around 6:30 for Mrs Ruthie's pond! We had a great time and the fish were biting almost as much as the gnats!

Paige caught this beauty first thing! I think her hook was only in the water for about 30 seconds. Below is a picture of her handing her Daddy a minnow! She was very proud of herself for catching it in the minnow bucket!

Below is Collin's only catch! He was pretty proud of it. Collin is not a patient fisherman.....well truthfully is he really isn't patient at anything. It took him most of the night to catch this one fish.

This is Dad holding up Collin's catch! Hope he didn't pull a muscle holding it!

As we left Gary Don said that was really fun, we need to do more of that! I agree it was a fun night!

Austin Shoots again!

Friday April 30 was the regional junior division trap competition. Austin competed with a squad of 5 from Greenwood. He shot with Ty Wykoff, Dustin McGowen, Preston Young, and Brody Mizell. Individually Austin shot a 23/25, and said he dusted the other 2! His goal for the day was a 24, but I think a 23 is AWESOME! His team finished with a combined score of 101! The top 16 teams qualify to shoot at the state competition on June 4th. Austin's squad finished 4th overall!!!! Greenwood has 4 of the 16 teams going to state! So I guess we will be making one more trip to Lonoke this year! GREAT JOB AUSTIN!!!! We are proud of you!

Play Ball!!!

If you are ever wondering what the Curry's are doing week nights during May and June...Most nights we will be found at the ball fields! Another baseball season has begun!! I am really excited! I love baseball season! Yes the schedule will be crazy, and we will practically live at the ball fields, but I would not trade a minute of it!

Here is my little T-ball girl! Last year she was the only girl on her team, but this year she has 2 others joining her. Her team played really great and won their game!
My 2 ball players!

Collin has moved up to kid pitch this year! The games are longer, they can steal bases, and his role as catcher has become very important! Monday night he made the 1st out, 1st hit, and scored the first run of the season for his team! He played a really great game! His team came up a little short in the run department and lost the game by 3. I thought they played really good as a team!

Junior Olynpic Qualifier

This is where Austin and Gary Don spent last weekend. Austin competed in the event. He is quite the marksman!

They went down on Friday for a practice round. The competition began Saturday morning. They shoot in squads of 6, and were paired by first names. Austin shot with 4 other Austins and 1 Ashton!
Saturday they shot 3 rounds of 25 each and Sunday they shot 2. Below is the score sheet for the weekend. Austin's name is 2nd from the top. He scored a 90/125! Not good enough for an invite to the competition in Colorado Springs, But I think he did an AWESOME job!

Easter 2010

Most of the Curry clan enjoyed a wonderful Easter! The kids and I attended church then headed for Mimi and Papa's for lunch with the family. I got to try out Gary Don's new camera. The pictures would be better if they were taken by the photographer of the Curry family, but he was at home trying to recover from food poisoning! :(

Notice the many faces of Collin! I kept telling him to stop trying to smile.

Addison wanted to be in a picture, but wouldn't look!

This is my favorite picture of Collin! These days he has to have a serious face or you have to catch him laughing!

Birthday Girl Part II

Instead of doing a big birthday party this year Paige and I decided to do something on a smaller scale! She picked 2 friends, and we were off to have a little girl time!
Every great party should begin with happy hour! I picked the girls up from school, dumped the boys at home (no boys allowed!), and we were off to Sonic!

After sonic we went to have their nails done! The color picking took a little time!

They weren't very patient at the drying station!

The finished product.

After nails we went back to the house to hang and play! Lindsey gave Paige this cool bag that you can color. They went right to work on it! Paige now carries her bible in it!

We finished the afternoon with dinner at McDonald's! We did let the boys join us for dinner!
Thanks Abi and Lindsey for helping make Paige's 6th birthday really fun!
