Santa's Helpers

The annual decorating of the house for the holidays is a family affair at the Curry house! Collin gets to climb the ladder to the attic to retrieve all of the Christmas decor. This year he put his football helmet on because he kept hitting his head on the rafters. He must be getting taller!

Paige always helps carry things in. Sometimes she gets a little distrated....She thought she would decorate herself!

And this hot hunk of a man gets the honors of putting the lights on the house! He does a great job every year!

Here is Santa! We have had him for a few years, and this year may be his last! He is having a hard time staying standing! Most nights if you drive by you will find Santa laying down on the job!

This year Collin even got to climb the ladder to the roof, to help with the lights! I am not sure I like him being up there!

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving was spent at Mimi and Papa's house this year. Here we are this is the whole Thrift crew.

This is my grandmother with all of her great-grand kids!

Papa with the grand kids.

We had a great meal, then all the girls loaded up and went to the movies. Tangled was the ticket of the day. It was a cute movie. Mimi said she couldn't remember the last time she went to the movies. Hope she enjoyed the Disney film as much as Paige and Addison!

so far behind

Just realized this week that I have not updated in over a month. That might lead some to believe that we have not had any thing going on....That is definitely not the case! The next few post will be my attempt at catching up a little!

Something New

Some of you will remember last year around this time I was very stressed about the fact that Paige wanted to cheer for Upward instead of playing basketball. Well, this year she has had a change of heart and is going to play!!!!
Last week I took her to evaluations. I told her to not be nervous and just do what they asked her to do!

She did awesome!

She was so excited! She made 6 baskets during the shooting drill!

check out these cool basketball shoes we found at Academy! They were even on clearance!!!

I cannot wait to see how the season goes!

This maybe the beginning of her sports career! Ha!

New Do!

For several months Paige has wanted a haircut. We were trying to wait until it was long enough to donate.
Last weekend I decided it was time! Weather it was long enough to donate or not! She would scream and cry every time I had to brush her hair!
So on Monday I made the call to Mrs. Wendy!
The appointment was set for Thursday after school.

Here she is before

The first cut! She actually cut a 9 inch ponytail! Locks of Love will only take 10 or more inches. But I had a friend tell me that Pantene also has a program. So I checked into it and they will take 8 inches. We have it all bagged up and ready to send.

She is so excited about her new look!

I think she looks beautiful!!!
Thanks Mrs. Wendy for the great new do!

A few a his favorite things

Austin has many hobbies and things he enjoys.
One of his most favorite things to do is to attend concerts!
I am not much of a concert attendee, so his daddy gets that privilege most of the time! I really don't think he minds going! I think he really kind of likes it!
Last Thursday they attended another!
Gary Don bought Austin a VIP ticket to the Thousand Foot Krutch concert. Austin got to meet the band and have a photo!
Ivoryline (a group from Tyler, Tx)
and Disciple opened, and then it was on to the main event!

Here are a few of his souvenirs from his many concerts. The total cost of these souvenirs is some where around $150!! That does not include the cost of the ticket for the event! Concert attending is not a cheap hobby!

What some of you may not know is that ALL of these groups are christian groups!! I am very thankful for these groups! I am thankful that they are using the gifts God has given them to reach people thru music!

More of the same

I have not updated in a very long time! Really we do not have anything new going on! We are still playing and practicing football, and running cross country! I do see the light at the end of the tunnel on these two activities!

Collin's team has 1 regular season game left and then we are in the playoffs. Collin's team has been playing great, but we have been beat 3 times. : (

Austin has 2 weeks of football left and the conference cross country meet on October 30th! Austin's football team is undefeated, they did tie last night, no overtime in 8th grade football. He continues to run great! Monday he placed 4th!! With our team taking 4 of the top 5 spots!

I do have some pictures of what Paige has been up to, but have to wait to update until I get my camera back from my sister!
